SUPER CHEFS CONCLUDE ANOTHER BUSY AND SUCCESSUL YEAR

Riverside Super Chefs experienced commendable growth this year with 14 chefs preparing and serving 13 meals including several special functions in cooperation with Fellowship.  The biggest challenge was the very successful barbeque chicken in conjunction with Appalachian Gospel.

New Super Chefs are Bill Hoffpauir, Tony Pierro, Jack Sprunger and Mark Long.  Other members include Dan Spellman, Jim Gregory, Duane McMillen, Jim Mustin, Mel Headon, Carl Costsamire, Bernie Farden, Jack Buckley, Ken Colley and Dick Gerhardt.

Snowbirds Headon, Cotsamire and Pierro should feel satisfied by their efforts as they return to their northern communities this Spring.  They are skilled members who afford the group undivided dedication and skills.   A huge THANK YOU from the church and its continued prayers for your good health and safe return to Riverside.

Thank you, Super Chefs, for all you do!

Did you know?

God loves Super Chefs!

God loves them for the giving of their time to fulfill church fellowship.

He loves them for their church love that places them on time for functions with the desire to give their best.

He loves them for so carefully planning and preparing delicious recipes.

He loves them for dining room aromas that generates a thankful, hungry Christian atmosphere.

God and Super Chefs, however, share a common concern - diminishing membership.  Super Chefs offer you still another choice for serving the church.  It’s a position requiring no qualifications or credentials other than your desire to have fun with a bunch of crazy, carefree, joke-telling, God fearing members.  Age doesn‘t matter.  There is no mandatory schedule.  Many are retired, but a few still hold jobs.  So, chefs help when its convenient.  There are a few very welcomed men who like to volunteer at larger functions held in evenings.

Our goal is to offer you an opportunity to serve God by simply enjoying the opportunity to work with friends as they prepare and serve food for church occasions.  Our year commences in September by serving the monthly men’s breakfast.
