CLOSING (Page 1 of 3)

General Closing instructions:

  • Special care should be given to all double doors (Sanctuary, Chapel and both doors in Fellowship Hall) to verify that the stationary door is securely latched.  The Sanctuary and Chapel doors have manual latches at the top and the bottom of the doors that must be latched.  The Fellowship doors are controlled by the breakout bar and should be latched automatically.  The Fellowship doors are not consistently latching and will receive maintenance, to restore the locking capability.

  • While going through the buildings, listen for running water in the bathrooms.  Sometimes the toilets will get stuck and you will need to jiggle the handle to make the flapper seal.

  • Several of the locks may be difficult to get to turn.  Please be patient.  Locks may require a little jiggling with the keys to get the tumblers to fall into place.
