Discipleship Opportunities

RPC offers many opportunities for volunteering.  Whatever you feel called to do, we encourage you to get involved and to be creative.  The best way to get involved is to join one or more of the Commissions.  In addition, we hope you will support all the church events by attending them.  Here is a small sampling of the many ways to serve God through serving others.

Worship/Concerts:  Ushers, Greeters, communion preparation, sound, choir, band, distributing materials for the pews, collecting friendship pad sheets, folding/stuffing bulletins, counting money

Christian Education: Teach Sunday School, facilitate a small group study, maintain library, teen chaperone, coordinate a project, hide Easter eggs, youth group leader

Outreach/Mission: Walk-A-Thons, prepare mailings, church reporter, prepare meals, photography, website, prison ministry, mission trips, coordinate a ministry/mission

Around the Church: Gardening, office help, seasonal decorations

Fellowship: Cooks, servers, prepare meals, dishwashing, cleanup, shopping, coordinate an activity

Care: Take flowers to shut-ins, visitations, prayer groups, take folks to appointments, mentoring, hospital volunteer, stitch a blanket
